Following discussions with the U.S. = Food and=20 Drug Administration, Warner-Lambert Company has=20 voluntarily discontinued the sale and = distribution of=20 Rezulin^=C2=AE (troglitazone) Tablets, = its therapy=20 for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. We have = attached=20 to this letter the Com= pany's=20 and the FDA's=20 March 21, 2000 press releases announcing this=20 action.

Effective immediately, please do not = initiate=20 Rezulin^=C2=AE therapy for new = patients and please=20 evaluate alternative therapies for current=20 Rezulin^=C2=AE patients as soon as=20 possible.

Warner-Lambert has discontinued its = distribution=20 of Rezulin^=C2=AE and will be taking = steps to=20 arrange for wholesale and pharmacy returns of = all=20 existing stocks to the Company. Warner-Lambert = will=20 reimburse patients for their out-of-pocket = expenses for=20 unused supplies of Rezulin^=C2=AE. = Patients having=20 questions regarding this procedure may call=20 1-877-798-7398 for instructions.
