Following discussions with the U.S. = Food and=20 Drug Administration, Warner-Lambert Company has=20 voluntarily discontinued the sale and = distribution of=20 Rezulin^=AE (troglitazone) Tablets, = its therapy=20 for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. We have = attached=20 to this letter the Com= pany's=20 and the FDA's=20 March 21, 2000 press releases announcing this=20 action.

Concurrent with this letter, we are = notifying=20 physicians of the withdrawal.

Effective immediately, please do not = dispense=20 any further prescriptions for = Rezulin^=AE.=20 Patients presenting prescriptions = for Rezulin^=AEshould be = instructed=20 to consult with their physicians regarding = alternative=20 therapies as soon as possible.

Warner-Lambert has discontinued its = distribution=20 of Rezulin^=AE and will be taking = steps to=20 arrange for wholesale and pharmacy returns of = all=20 existing stocks to the Company. Warner-Lambert = will=20 reimburse patients for their out-of-pocket = expenses for=20 unused supplies of Rezulin^=AE. = Patients having=20 questions regarding this procedure may call=20 1-877-798-7398 for instructions.

You will be contacted shortly = regarding=20 procedures for return of and credit for unused = stocks.=20 Should you have any questions in the interim, = please=20 call our Medical Affairs Department at = 1-800-223-0432 or=20 contact a local Parke-Davis or Sankyo Parke = Davis=20 representative.
